Men's Basketball 12/30/2022 10:00:49 AM Men's Basketball League Play Gets Underway Dec. 31 BOSTON – The 2022-23 America East men’s basketball conference schedule gets underway on Saturday, Dec. 31 at with three games and one more on Jan. 1. UMass Lowell enters league play on the heels of its best non-conference slate in program history. The River Hawks racked up a program-record 12 wins and enter conference play at 12-2. Bryant (9-4) and UMBC (9-5) also enter the league slate with winning records. Saturday, December 31 New Hampshire (5-7) at UAlbany (5-10) - 12 PM TThe two teams have split the last 14 meetings. The Wildcats have won three of their last five games, which included a win over Boston College. Clarence Daniels is averaging a double-double of 16.1 points and 11.3 rebounds per game. Binghamton (4-9) at Bryant (9-4) - 1 PM Bryant has won three out of four games entering non-league play. The Bulldogs have the top scoring offense in the conference (85.9 ppg). Four of the league’s top six scorers come from these two teams in Bryant’s Sheriff Gross-Bullock, Earl Timberlake and Charles Pride and Binghamton’s Charles Pride. UMass Lowell (12-2) at NJIT (3-10) – 2 PM The River Hawks enter league play with the league’s best record (12-2) and highest NET (82). UMass Lowell has the best defense in the league, holding foes to just 63.1 points per game. Miles Coleman leads NJIT and ranks seventh in league averaging 14.0 points per game.
